In our 17th edition of the Path to the Draft series, we highlight LB Grant McDonald. As a true freshman in 2017, Grant McDonald played NCAA D1 football at Maine and recorded 7 tackles and a forced fumble on special teams. He then transferred to Calgary to join his older brother Jack. Through 2018 and 2019 playing with the Calgary Dinos, Grant had 142 tackles, 14.5 TFL, 6.5 sacks, a pick, and a forced fumble. He was a key player en route to a 2019 Vanier Cup win for the Dinos.
