Paul Lambert joins McGill Redmen coaching staff


McGill continued to retool their offensive coaching staff with quite an impressive pick up today. Paul Lambert (Montreal Alouettes 2003 to 2010) has accepted a position as the Offensive Line coach. “We have now solidified our offensive coaching staff with the addition of Paul. Paul and Danny are going to be a great combination for the Redmen this season,” said McGill coach Sonny Wolfe.

Paul Lambert has quite an impressive Resume.

FBS – Western Michigan (1997-2000)
– Started 29 of 44 games at Offensive guard, center & tackle
-All-Mid American conference in senior year (2000)
-drafted in third round of 2000 CFL Draft by Hamilton Tiger Cats
-Ticat rookie of the year in 2000, starting every regular season game & 2 playoff games
-February 2003 signed with Alouettes (Grey Cup 2009, 2010)
– CFL East all-star 2004 & 2008
– CFL all-star 2004

Personal:

He resides in Vaudreuil with his wife, Pamela Ranger… They have a daughter, Tatum, born in May 2004, a son, Jake, born in August 2002 and another daughter, Lauren, born in February 1996… He is originally from Montreal and is involved in numerous Alouettes’ community programs… He is bilingual.

Matthieu Quiviger, 1992 All-Canadian & Shrine Bowl participant for the Redmen, will return to assist Paul with the offensive line coaching duties..
