MWFL: Β Storm remain unbeaten after week five action

The Saint John Afterburn Storm kept a perfect record as they beat Halifax on a warm muggy day.

On the opening kick off Kelsey Cormier returned the ball 85 yards for a touch down. Maygun Mullett converted. Then late in the first quarter Mullet added a 30 yard field goal and Halifax kept the score there until half. (10-0).

In the third quarter on Halifax’s first drive Kristie Perry picked a pass and the Storm capitalized on the opportunity on a Kate Girauord 12 yard run. Mullett converted. Perry repeated the interception on the next Xplosion possession and Michellle Young Mather hit Melissa Daley on a 3 yard pass for a TD with Mullett splitting the uprights again.In the fourth a Mather to Perry pass for a 33 yard TD was finished with another Mullett convert. The Storm defense played big and recorded a couple of sacks before Mather and Perry hooked up for the final score on a 14 yard pass, Mullett converted to give SJ a 38-0 win.
