PFC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSE-JORDAN OLSON-EDMONTON WILDCATS

The sophomore made his second start at pivot in last Sunday’s 42-30 home field win over the Winnipeg Rifles and for the second time in 2012 picks up Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Olson went 14 of 23 for 203 yards in the win in addition to calling his own number 7 times for 121 yards, with one of those being a 75-yard touchdown scamper in the third quarter.

DEFENSE-YIANNI CABYLIS-REGINA THUNDER

Cabylis had an outstanding outing in the Thunder’s 24-9 road loss to the Saskatoon Hilltops on September 8th. Cabylis recorded 9 solo tackles, 2 assisted stops, added a special teams tackle as well as coming up with a fumble recovery in addition to intercepting a Matt Harder pass. When all was said and done, the veteran linebacker racked up a season high 28 points.

SPECIAL TEAMS-JASON KELLY-WINNIPEG RIFLES

The 2nd-year defensive back has become a kick returner this season and in Sunday’s 42-30 loss to the Wildcats, he showed off his speed as he returned his first kick of the day for 101 yards for a touchdown that got his club back into the contest.
