PFC Releases 2013 Schedule

The Prairie Football Conference (PFC) is pleased to announce their 2013 regular season schedule.

Each of the six teams will once again play an eight week regular season schedule beginning on Saturday August 17, followed by the playoffs on Sunday October 20, 2013.

Week one will feature a full slate of games kicking off with a battle of Edmonton as the Huskies host the Wildcats in the lone Saturday (August 17) game, while the defending Canadian Bowl Champion Saskatoon Hilltops host the Winnipeg Rifles on Sunday (August 18), and last yearā€™s undefeated Calgary Colts will travel to Regina to face the Thunder.

Three teams will begin a new era, as the Thunder, Rifles and Huskies each have a new head coach.Ā  Scott MacAulay will lead the Thunder, Ryan Karhut the Rifles while Iain Maclean takes over the Huskies.

This year the stakes are a bit higher as the winner of the Conference will win the right to host the Canadian Bowl on November 9, 2013.Ā  The three-time PFC defending champion Hilltops will look to host their third straight Canadian championship after winning the ultimate prize in 2010 and 2007.
