The Prairie Football Conference (PFC) is pleased to announce their 2015 regular season schedule.
Each of the six teams will play a balanced eight game schedule beginning August 15, 2015, with the winner of the Conference hosting the 2015 National Championship Canadian Bowl.
“For the first time ever this schedule features all 6 teams playing on Saturday night in week 4,” says PFC Vice President Todd Wilson. “Under the lights on an early September evening on the Prairies should provide for large crowds and an amazing atmosphere to showcase our exciting brand of CJFL Football”
Scheduling games in the PFC is no easy task as teams typically share stadiums with CFL and CIS teams. This season the Women’s World Cup Soccer will also put pressures on stadium dates, however the PFC has again demonstrated a willingness to work together to create a workable schedule.
The 2015 season will open the weekend of August 15th with two night games on Saturday at 7:00pm. The Wildcats and Huskies battle for bragging rights in Edmonton, while the Regina Thunder host the Winnipeg Rifles. Then on Sunday afternoon (August 16th) in Calgary the Colts get their first crack at the defending Canadian Bowl champion Saskatoon Hilltops at McMahon Stadium.
This season the PFC Rivalry Week is scheduled for Week 4 of the season on Saturday September 5 when cross town rivals the Wildcats and Huskies battle in Edmonton, the age old rivalry of Saskatchewan ignites as the Hilltops host the Thunder. A budding rivalry between the Colts and Rifles will also kick-off under the lights in Manitoba.
Minor Football Weeks will take place from August 22-29 as each team will welcome minor football teams from their community to celebrate the grassroots programs that are close to home.
