Jonathon has played for the Balfour Redmen of the Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL)
Jonathon, who has experience as both a safety and a halfback, describes his play as, “very hard and physical.”
“I like playing it right on the edge,” adds the Redmen defensive back. Ā “I also have a great football mind, that really helps my game as well.”
The Redmen standout is excited to begin the recruiting process in coming weeks. Ā He is open to any school has no preference for either staying at home or leaving the province to begin his CIS career.
Jonathon credits his father and grandfather as his biggest influences.
Overall, he has learned valuable lessons as the game has taught him about humility and being accountable to people he loves and represents.
“[The] biggest lesson has been that you’re no bigger than the team, and to not let them down,” says Jonathon. Ā “I take that to everyday life.”
