No.1 for everything

Yol Piok

CFC TOP 100 wide receiver becomes first recruit for CWUAA team’s 2014 class.

A CFC TOP 100 found that one CIS school stood number 1 when it came to fulfilling his academic and gridiron needs.

Recently, Yol Piok committed to the Saskatchewan Huskies. The 6ā€™1, 165 pound wide receiver from Regina will join the Huskies for the 2014 CWUAA season.

ā€œI committed to the University of Saskatchewan because it offers everything I want and need in a university,ā€ explained Piok of his decision.Ā  ā€œAs soon as I walked in, I felt at home and that this was the place for me.ā€

ā€œThe major factor for me was academics, coaches, and team atmosphere.Ā  They were number one on my list for everything. They may not have the academics as the University of Alberta but they are still very good.ā€

For his exceptional play on the field this past season, Piok was selected to the Regina 3A Stewart Conference All-Star team at the receiver, defensive back and special teams positions.

Piok also represented his home province as a member of Team Saskatchewan at the 2013 Football Canada Cup in Moncton, New Brunswick.
