OFFENSE- RYAN MARSCH-Winnipeg Rifles

The sophomore quarterback led the Rifles to their third straight win, a 33-21 decision over the conference champion Edmonton Wildcats on Sunday at Canad Inns Stadium.

Marsch would complete 17 of 27 passes for 331 yards, throwing for 1 touchdown in the victory. 260 of those would be split evenly between Matt Lariviere and Derek Dean. He is currently 4th in passing yards with 624.

Marsch is a product of Winnipeg’s Sturgeon Heights Collegiate.

DEFENSE-ZACH MCNEILL-Calgary Colts

The Colts scored 41 2nd quarter points in their 58-0 triumph over the Edmonton Huskies on Saturday night at McMahon Stadium and the 5th-year linebacker made his contribution in near-record time. He would intercept 2 Huskie passes and return them for 35 & 30 yards respectively for major scores in a span of 26 seconds, no less. McNeill recorded 22 defensive points in the rout. He is a product of Calgary’s Lord Beaverbrook High School.


SPECIAL TEAMS- ANDREW FABIAN, Calgary Colts

The rookie kicker from Brooks was a perfect 3 for 3 in the field goal department in the Colts 58-0 shutout of the Edmonton Huskies on Saturday night. He connected from 37, 25 and 44 yards respectively. Fabian would convert all 7 Calgary touchdowns. His punting also was impressive as he averaged 43.1 yards per punt on the night.
