CJFL Games of the Week:

PFC WEEK 3:

The PFC Game of the Week, is the only game this Labour Day long weekend as the Calgary Colts (0-2) host the Winnipeg Rifles (1-1) on Sunday at 1:00pm.

Last weekend in Winnipeg the Rifles recorded a 42-21 win over the Colts.Β  Three different Rifle quarterbacks combined for 300 yards of passing and four touchdowns.Β  Kurt Goodrich was the good to receiver with five catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

Niclas Bembenek and Victor St. Pierre-Lavoilette also caught touchdown passes.

The Colts defense was very good against the Rifles run game.Β Β Β  Nine different ball carries gathered 108 yards.

For the Colts offensively, quarterback Cole Meyer was 14 of 33 for 205 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Cole Bazinet.Β  Meyer also ran for a major.

Sunday’s game is the second half of a home and home.Β  While the winning team generally hates to play the same team in consecutive weeks, the losing loves getting a second chance.
