Princely welcome

Jasmin Prince

Montreal pivot newest recruit to join RSEQ team’s 2014 class.

From the moment that Jasmin Prince stepped foot onto one RSEQ campus, he realized his future was standing right in front of him.

Consequently, the 6’0, 180 pound quarterback from Montreal, Quebec committed to the Concordia Stingers.  Prince will join the team for the 2014 RSEQ season.

“Players and coaches were very welcoming,” reflected Prince.  “It did not take me long to realize that my place was with the Stingers.”

Moreover, educational reasons played a role in his decision.

“I really wanted to study in English and I wanted to come back to Montreal,” added the pivot.  “Academically, Concordia had a big advantage.”

“I wanted to study business and for me, the best business school is at Concordia (JMSB).”

Ultimately, Prince believes that the Stingers will provide him the best chance to develop into an elite player and is looking forward to becoming a part of the team.

“Concordia’s football program has developed so many excellent football players and I believe that the coaches will help me to reach my full potential,” expressed the Quebec offensive standout.  “I am very proud to have the chance to be part of that program.”

Prince joins the Stingers after completing his CEGEP career with Division 2 team Drummondville Voltigeurs.  This past season, he amassed 1358 passing yards and nine passing touchdowns. Previous to the Voltigeurs, Prince spent two seasons with CEGEP Division 1 squad, Montmorency Nomades.
