For Jared Wayne, playing the quarterback position is a challenge that he rose to throughout his gridiron career.
βIt was a natural progression as I became older and the skill set that I have to work with,β elaborated the 6β1, 158 pound quarterback.
Among the teams Wayne has played for include Peterborough Wolverines of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) and Adam Scott Lions of the Central Ontario Secondary Schools Association (COSSA).
On the field, the Lions pivot models his playing style to a couple of NFL greats β Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers and Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks.
This weekend, Wayne will participate in the QB Canada Clinic in Mississauga (March 28th).Β There are two goals he wants to achieve while taking part in the event.
βI am looking forward to learning the position and what it will take for me to be successful,β explained the pivot.
Ultimately, Wayne hopes QB Canada will take him one step further into becoming an elite quarterback.
βI want to continue to learn and be the best player and teammate that I can possibly be,β added Wayne.
