Last year, Jacob Glofcheski began his gridiron journey with the tyke West Carleton Wolverines.
Since that time, the 4β8, 85 pound βfield generalβ has not only enjoyed playing the game, but has also become passionate of the opportunity to lead an offence.
βI love to throw the football,β expressed Glofcheski.Β βYou handle the ball every offensive play and every play begins with you.β
βI enjoy the responsibility that comes with being a quarterback.β
In his quest to excel at the position, he has studied and emulated his playing style of his favourite pivot, San Diego Chargers Phillip Rivers.
Recently, Glofcheskiβs main role model is right in his own backyard.
βRight now, I am modelling my game after Jesse Mills of the Carleton Ravens,β elaborated the Wolverines quarterback.Β βHe has been an awesome coach to me at the Jr Ravens Winter camp this year.β
Next month in Ottawa-Gatineau (April 11th), Glofcheski will participate in the QB Canada Clinic. Not only is he excited about taking part in the event, but he hopes to gain a few things in the process.
βI am looking forward to meeting other quarterbacks my age,β added Glofcheski.Β βAlso, improving my quarterback skills, and learning from some great coaches!β
Ultimately, the quarterback hopes participation in this clinic will get him one step closer in achieving his gridiron goals.
βI want to help win championships,β explained Glofcheski.Β βI won a league championship playing hockey last year, and itβs a great feeling.β
βI want to share that feeling with my West Carleton Wolverine teammates!β
