Cinq-Mars started his career with the St-Bruno Barons. He has played with the Barons for 12 years and is currently playing as a quarterback for the Ɖdouard-Montpetit Lynx. The player has won many Most Valuable Player Awards in the previous years.

ā€œI decided to pay with the Lynx because I knew they have a really good football program, with a good coaching staff. It is also a CEGEP that has very good academic programs, and this is really important to meā€ said the player.

He thinks that the best moment of his last season was the game they won against the Limoilou Titans.

ā€œIt was a very rough game; both of the teams were strong. We took the lead and at the end, the Lynx performed really well.ā€

The Lynx won that game 35-23 and it was their only winning game of the season.

For Cinq-Mars, the most influential persons in his life are his dad and David Courtemanche, one of his coaches.

ā€œMy dad gives me motivation and is supporting me in all my decisions. David Courtemanche helped me a lot in the past to get better on the field and also helped me to develop my skills,ā€ said the quarterback.

His CIS recruiting process is doing well. He is considering all the teams in the league. A few teams made contact with him, but nothing is official for the moment.

ā€œI want to impress and to make my proofs next season, and then weā€™ll see what happens next.ā€

The CIS school choice he will make will be based on the quality of the football program and the coaching staff, and also on the school itself. He hopes to be able to visit all the schools that approach him to make the right decision.

For now, Cinq-Marsā€™ training routine consists of weight lifting 5 times a week, and 3 running session. He is also working on his quarterback skills one to two times a week with his coach.

The quarterback hopes to improve his percentage of completed passes for the upcoming season. He will be working on his precision and will be practicing his defensive reading a lot more during the summer.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
