
QuΓ©bec and British Columbia faced off in the second semi-final game of the 2011 Football Canada Cup to determine who would face host Alberta in the gold medal game. QuΓ©bec jumped out to an early lead on a 15-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Guillaume Dumas to SΓ©bastien SerrΓ©. British Columbia answered, to tie the game 7 to 7, on a play action pass from quarterback Tyler Green to running back Mason Swift. The touchdown was set up by a 47-yard halfback option pass from running back Terrell Davis to receiver Taylor Young.
QuΓ©bec broke the deadlock at the end of the first quarter with a 32-yard field goal by Alexandre Huard. Late in the first half, QuΓ©bec extended their lead 16-7 with a 12-yard touchdown pass from Guillaume Dumas to Christopher Amoah.
In the second half QuΓ©bec pulled ahead 31-7, putting the game away. One touchdown was scored on a 6-yard run from quarterback Guillaume Dumas. An interception by defensive lineman Jeremy Pelletier set up Quebec’s last touchdown. B.C.βs Terrell Davis led the game in rushing with 60 yards on the ground.
On Friday, QuΓ©bec will face host Alberta in the gold medal game while B.C. and Ontario West battle for bronze.
