Quebec lineman adds talents to Guelph Gryphons

Guelph adds an out-of-province commit to their Class of 2018.

Liam Lapointe, an offensive lineman from John Abbott College, will be getting a taste of Ontario football after signing with the University of Guelph Gryphons.

An integral part of any student-athlete’s life is being able to commit to their academic development as much as their athletic one. “The school does a great job when it comes to balancing academics with football,” Lapointe, who will be taking economics, said.

“I believe they have something special when it comes to their football family,” he added. “The coaching staff seems awesome and I really like the offensive line coach there.”

Lapointe spent two high school seasons with Les Dragons du Collège Sainte-Anne (RSEQ) before joining the John Abbott Islanders (RSEQ Division 2). This season, he was an RSEQ offensive lineman MVP and all-star. He is 6’4, 260lbs and is from Montreal, Quebec.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
