KINGSTON, Ont. (May 1, 2013) – Queen’s football head coach Pat Sheahan is pleased to announce the signing of seven top recruits from across Ontario to the Gaels football program.
Offensive tackle Seton Battin (Otterville, Ont.), receiver Alex Coutu (St. Catharines, Ont.) receiver Munashe Masawi (Peterborough, Ont.), running back Jonah Pataki (Wallaceburg, Ont.), receiver Justin Saddlemyre (Burlington, Ont.), defensive lineman Zac Sauer (Ayr, Ont.) and defensive back Joshua Tait (Brantford, Ont.).

“This is a big day for seven young men, it’s a big day for their families and it’s a big day for Queen’s football,” commented coach Sheahan on the recruits joining the Gaels. “This is a lifetime commitment that these young men are making to Queen’s University and to the football program. We are honoured to have them and think they are going to be great additions to our program, we have invested a considerable amount of time getting to know them and building a bridge between them their current confines and the University. We are looking forward to seeing their careers unfold here at Queen’s.”
