Queen’s has “great reputation” says Toronto recruit (VIDEO)

Toronto defensive back joins OUA team’s 2016 class.

Joshua Carter wanted to be part of a tradition of excellence at the CIS level.

Consequently, the 5’9, 170 pound defensive back/returner from Toronto, Ontario signed with Queen’s Gaels.  Carter will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

“I chose to commit to Queen’s for the great reputation that the school holds academically,” explained the defensive standout of his decision.  “The school also has a beautiful campus that I fell in love with immediately.”

“Additionally, the football program already has a great reputation and I hope to be making an impact on the team in the near future. Coach [Pat] Sheahan and the rest of the Queen’s coaching staff are amazing and have great relationships with the players on the team which made my commitment much easier. I am truly honoured to have the chance to learn from some of the best coaches in CIS football and could not be more excited to get the season started in the fall.”

Carter completed a stint with St. Andrew’s College Saints of the Conference Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA).

“My coaches at St. Andrews were very supportive during my recruitment and were a huge reason why I decided to choose Queens,” added the defensive back.
