Vancouver Island quarterback Jordan Yantz set the British Columbia’s Football Conference’s all-time passing touchdown record Saturday in a game against the Kamloops Broncos. His third touchdown pass of the game gave him a total of 63 touchdowns during his career.
The 26-yard touchdown pass to Whitman Tomusiak put him one touchdown ahead of Shawn Olson (Surrey Rams 1992-1995) and Nate Cote (Victoria Rebels 2005-2007) on the all-time BCFC list. Yantz also holds BCFC records for most pass completions in a game (29), completion percentage over one season (64.1) and completions in one season (182).
Yantz was 17 for 33 with 316 yards in Saturday’s game. The Raiders have won the last 3 BCFC championships and last 2 out of 3 Canadian Bowls.
