Waterloo wide receiver joins OUA team’s 2014 class.
Theshawn Barry is coming to the Carleton Ravens.
This past week, the 6β0, 180 pound wide receiver from Waterloo, Ontario signed with the Carleton Ravens for the 2014 OUA season.
Among the teams Barry played for during his career include Sir John A MacDonald Highlanders of the Waterloo County Secondary School Athletic Association (WCSSAA) and the Twin Cities Predators of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).
The Ravens are ecstatic of their newest addition as he will bolster the teamβs offensive unit along as bring some intangibles that will be an asset to the program.
βTheshawn is a great pick-up for us at receiver,β commented Ravens Head Coach Steve Sumarah.Β βHe can play inside or outside and his speed is a definite threat on the field.β
βHe has the ability to turn a five yard play into a 70 yard play and that is what we like the most about him.Β Studying in our computer Science program also gives us another student athlete who understands the importance of academics as well. β
