Langford āThe Westshore Rebels are excited to announce that former CFL/CJFL player/coach Doug Hocking, CFL player/Rebels alumni Scott Mennie and Brian Scott has joined the team for the 2015 season.

āWe are extremely honoured that Coach Hocking and Coach Mennie are anxious to join our staff. Their immense successes speak for themselves and they will have an immediate and substantial impact on our program and players. Aside from the obvious football acumen as a coach, I got to know Doug and feel that our visions are strongly aligned about developing players to their maximum potential.
Also attracting a coach like Doug and Scott also shows the very positive direction the Rebels are now going. We are building something special here at the Westshore communityĀ and getting Coach Hocking and Coach Mennie just accelerated that build!ā

Head Coach JC Boice commented on another coach announcement.
“I am extremely excited to have Brian join our staff. Not only is he a past Rebel player that was a impact performerĀ during the Rebels most competitive era but he also went on to play 5 years at the CIS level with the University of Regina. He is a perfect example of a man that loves the game, loves his teammates, loves his community and leveraged is prowess in football to create future opportunities for himself in education and life.
Brian is also a Rebel Alumni and is fiercely loyal to the Rebel brand. He is excited to be joining us in our effort to reestablish the Rebels rob once and future dominance! The rebels program and most importantly the rubbles players are going to benefit greatly from having Brian in the mix for us now.”

Brian commented on why he chose to join the Rebels team, āI Have followed the Rebels since my playing days and have always felt connected because of the great times when I played. I am excited to be back involved in the program and giving all I can to contribute in any way I can so these guys can experience what I did playing here.
