Speedy receiver Raidan Thorne is looking to help the Twin Cities Predators of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) improve this season.

Standing at 6’2, Thorne uses his size for the receiver position.

He has played for seven years now, and is looking to extend his playing career for at least four more years at the CIS level.

Thorne is also a rep basketball player in the Kitchener/Waterloo region.

Raidan is currently open to any schools that will use him to benefit the offense.

Coming into the first game of the 2015 season with the Predators, the team wasn’t expecting to win against the Brantford Bisons. However, the team came together and was able to get the win. Thorne described that as the highlight of his past season.

Thorne looks up to former West Virginia star receiver Tavon Austin and tries to play his game in a similar manner.

Although his graduating year is 2017, Thorne is expected to remain in high school for an extra year.

In order to prepare himself for the upcoming season, Raidan has been running routes and footwork drills three times a week. He compliments this with two days of lifting and team practices.

He has been working on eating well and taking better care of his body.

This season he will be looking to make an impact in the OFC and hopes to get his name out there for scouts.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
