RECAP: CFC#4 Wolves earn shutout, Benjamin, Dalaroy Rocheleau & Kalenga shine with notable performances

Pierre Benjamin completed 11 passes in 17 attempts for 242 yards and three passing touchdowns as CFC#4 Cure Antoine Labelle Wolves earned a 42-0 shutout victory over Jacques Rousseau Sphinx to remain undefeated in RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 action.

Guillaume Ranger scored two touchdowns and amassed 101 yards on four receptions.  Samuel Makwanda also tallied two majors while Daniel-Aziz Skaf (100 rushing yards on six carries) and Samuel Emilus (98 yards on four receptions) each scored a touchdown for the Wolves.

Jeff Carpentier and Vincent Rousseau each caught an interception in the victory.  Maleek Jarry-Mc Hayle, Charles Lavoie and Daryl Jean-Charles each recorded two sacks.  Marc-Darley Casseus and Sylvain Cronier each added a sack on defense.  Darren Wiltshire led the way in tackles with 5.5.

As for the Sphinx, Guillaume Renaud-Dumoulin completed 16 passes in 29 attempts for 148 passing yards. Markenley Philippe led the defense with 8.5 tackles while Jonathan Desbois chipped in with eight tackles. Shawn Gelinas caught an interception in the loss.

Guillaume Vermette

CFC#9 SEMINAIRE SAINT FRANCOIS BLIZZARD 31, ROGER COMTOIS PATRIOTS 8:

At Roger Comtois, the visiting CFC#9 Seminaire Saint Francois Blizzard cruised to a 31-8 victory over Roger Comtois Patriots.

Christophe Tremblay-Harnois led the Patriots as he completed 10 passes in 28 attempts for 133 passing yards, 157 rushing yards on 32 carries and a rushing touchdown. Dominic Lévesque-Nadeau registered six tackles.

Francois Rocheleau

CFC#11 COLLEGE NOTRE DAME CACTUS 35, CFC#41 ACADEMIE LES ESTACADES 24:

At College Notre Dame, Francois Rocheleau scored three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving), racked up 213 yards on 23 carries, 43 yards on three receptions and added four PAT’s as hosts CFC#11 Cactus defeated CFC#41 Academie Les Estacades 35-24.

On defense, Bruno Lagace led the way as he caught an interception, recorded a sack and registered nine tackles. Antoine Epstein added nine tackles while Jean-Christophe Couture recorded two sacks. Denys Shkvarchuk and Karl Chemali each added a sack in the victory.

As for Les Estacades, Alexis Daigneault and Melvin Piche each tallied a major.  Uriel-Emmanuel Kalenga was in beast mode on defense as he racked up 13 tackles.

William Valliere Olivier

CFC#37 SAINT JEAN EUDES CONDORS 36, ACADEMIE SAINT LOUIS ARSENAL 0:

At Academie Saint Louis, William Vallière-Olivier tallied two majors and rushed for 147 yards on 13 carries as CFC#37 Saint Jean Eudes Condors earned a 36-0 over the hosts Arsenal.

Vincent Girard also scored a touchdown and had 53 yards on four receptions for the Condors. Pivot Victor Loungnarath completed six passes in nine attempts for 84 yards and a passing touchdown.

David-Alexandre Messier recorded three sacks for the Condors defense.  Philippe Lortie added two sacks while Jean-Christophe Simard, Alexandre Tremblay and William Isaac Parent each chipped in with a sack. Bastien Pilote and Scott Tremblay each caught an interception.  Charles-Antoine Beaulieu led the way in tackles with nine.

Louis-Philippe Belanger led the Arsenal with 11 tackles.  Anthony Desjardins and Tristan Martineau each caught an interception while Nicolas Chevrette recorded a sack in the loss.

Dean Dalaroy

COLLEGE JEAN EUDES EAGLES 64, TRIOLET HARFANGS 24:

At CEPSUM, Dean Dalaroy was unstoppable on offense as he scored five touchdowns and rushed for 275 yards on 20 carries as College Jean Eudes Eagles coasted to a 64-24 win over Triolet Harfangs.

Benjamin DeTilly tallied a major and racked up 147 yards on six receptions for the Eagles. Bruno Provencher and Julien Boudreau-Plouffe each scored a touchdown.

Pivot Charles-Olivier Lavigne completed 21 passes in 33 attempts for 367 yards, three passing touchdowns, 65 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in the victory.

Olivier Bedard caught an interception while Renaud Stephenne and Michael Chiappone each recorded a sack.  Jeremie Lavallee registered 8.5 tackles for the Eagles.
