RECAP: CFC#5 Wolves & CFC#6 Cactus to collide for Bol D’Or

Samuel Makwanda scored three touchdowns and rushed for 152 yards on 15 carries as CFC#5 Cure-Antoine Labelle Wolves advanced to the RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 Bol D’Or Championship after thumping CFC#45 College Jean-Eudes Eagles 47-7 in semi-final action.

Mathieu Renault also tallied a 21 yard major for the Wolves.

Pivot Benjamin Pierre completed seven passes in 13 attempts for 148 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a rushing major in the victory.

Jeremie Engelo and Christopher Jean each registered 4.5 tackles to lead the Wolves defence. Danny Blain recorded two sacks while Jacob Lavoie and Olivier Grenier each added one.  Vincent Rousseau caught an interception.

The Wolves are set for a collision course now in the Bol D’Or Final against CFC#6 College Notre Dame Cactus.

Francois Rocheleau

Francois Rocheleau tallied three majors, rushed for 165 yards on 19 carries and added four PAT’s as the Wolves defeated CFC#40 Academie Les Estacades 29-14.

Sebastien Yeargan completed seven passes in 14 attempts and a rushing touchdown in the victory.

On defense, Bruno Legace was in beast mode as he caught an interception and racked up 16.5 tackles.  Andriy Nikulich chipped in with 10.5 tackles while Jean-Christophe Couture recorded a sack.

As for the Estacades, Melvin Piche scored a touchdown and dashed for 205 yards on 421 carries. Alexis Daigneault tallied a major and had 65 yards on three receptions in the loss.

Uriel-Emmanuel Kalenga led the Estacades defence with 7.5 tackles.  Lucas Iaonne recorded two sacks while Zachary Iaonne added one.

Both the Wolves and the Cactus will face off for the RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 Bol D’Or Championship on Sunday at Saint Jean-sur-Richelieu.  Kickoff is 1:00pm.
