RECAP: CFC#5 Wolves remain undefeated, Vermette & Renaud-Demoulins power CFC#10 Blizzard to victory

Benjamin Pierre completed 15 passes in 18 attempts for 292 yards and three passing touchdowns as CFC#5 Cure-Antoine Labelle Wolves coasted to a 38-7 victory over Roger Comtois Patriots in RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 Week 5 action.

Samuel Makwanda scored a touchdown and rushed for 148 yards on 15 carries for the Wolves.  Pierre-Olivier Morin tallied two majors (a 53 yard rushing major, one receiving major) and racked up 71 yards on two receptions.  Guillaume Ranger and Bryan Owusu Bekoe each scored a touchdown in the win. Samuel Emilus added five PAT’s.

On defense, Olivier Grenier led the way as he recorded three sacks.  Antoine Moreau registered 6.5 tackles while Jeremie Engelo and Louis-Philippe Leclerc each caught an interception.  Maleek Jarry-Mc Hayle, Shawn Theodore and Jacob Lavoie each added a sack.

Alexis Gauvin tallied the lone major for the Patriots.

CFC#10 SEMINAIRE SAINT FRANCOIS BLIZZARD 53, JACQUES ROUSSEAU SPHINX 30:

At Seminaire Saint Francois, Guillaume Vermette scored three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) and rushed for 140 yards on 17 carries as hosts CFC #10 Blizzard defeated Jacques Rousseau Sphinx 53-30.

Gloire Muganda, Julien Desrochers, Antoine Dufour and Guillaume Leblond-Paquin each tallied a major for the Blizzard.  Eric Verreault was successful on seven conversion attempts.

Didier Lacombe registered 6.5 tackles to lead the Blizzard defense.  Felix-Antoine Dallaire, Mathieu Cauchon-Beauséjour and Jerome Turcotte each caught an interception.

As for the Sphinx, Guillaume Renaud-Dumoulin completed 29 passes in 59 attempts for 409 yards, two passing touchdowns and a rushing major. Antoine Dansereau-Leclerc and Paul-Antoine Ouellette each tallied a major in the loss.

Germain Renaud-Dumoulin  led the defense as he recorded a sack and registered 10 tackles.  Jonathan Desbois added nine tackles while Marc Antoine L’hérault-Paré and Cesar Alonso Limo Ramos each caught an interception.

CFC#11 COLLEGE NOTRE DAME CACTUS 39, ACADEMIE SAINT-LOUIS ARSENAL 0:

At College Notre Dame, Francois Rocheleau tallied three majors (two rushing, one receiving), rushed for 143 yards on 16 carries and added 4 PAT’s as hosts CFC #11 Cactus earned a 39-0 shutout victory over visiting Academie Saint-Louis Arsenal.

Ja’shonte Wright-McLeish (110 rushing yards on 14 carries) and Nicolas Beaudin Pearson each scored a touchdown for the Cactus.

On defense, Andriy Nikulich led the way with 10 tackles.  Bruno Legace and Karl Chemali each recorded two sacks.  Additionally, Julien Stein-Tremblay, Elion Rushiti, Denys Shkvarchuk and Simon Yee each added a sack.

CFC#48 ACADEMIE LES ESTACADES 34, COLLEGE JEAN EUDES EAGLES 30:

At Academie Les Estacades, Alexis Daigneault scored three touchdowns and rushed for 215 yards on 22 carries as hosts CFC #48 Academie Les Estacades got past the visiting College Jean Eudes Eagles 34-30.

Philippe Gauthier caught an interception and converted it into a touchdown score.  Blais Francis also tallied a major for Les Estacades.

Jordan Falardeau was a beast on defense as he recorded two sacks and registered 10 tackles.  Uriel-Emmanuel Kalenga added a sack and nine tackles.  Jeremy Berube caught an interception while Kelsey Fontaine recorded a sack.

As for the Eagles, Dean Dalaroy scored a touchdown and rushed for 157 yards on 20 carries. Benjamin DeTilly and Julien Boudreau-Plouffe each added a major.

Marc Olivier Derouin registered 6.5 tackles while Renaud Stephenne recorded a sack and added 5.5 tackles in the loss.

SAINT JEAN EUDES CONDORS 54, TRIOLET HARFANGS 13:

At Saint Jean Eudes, Alexandre Beliveau tallied a major and rushed for 149 yards on 19 carries as hosts Saint Jean Eudes Condors defeated visiting Triolet Harfangs 54-13.

Pivot Victor Loungnarath completed nine passes in 12 attempts for 111 yards, two passing touchdowns and a rushing major.  Louis Tardif, Jeremy Lemelin and Nikolas-Frédérick Therrien each scored a touchdown in the win.

Benjamin Rheaume tallied a major and had 75 yards on two receptions. Samuel Thivierge registered nine tackles while Xavier Ouellette recorded sack and added eight tackles in the loss.
