RECAP: Lavric pilots CFC#31 Spartans to third OFSAA win [stats]

This marks the third OFSAA Bowl victory for the Spartans, who previously won in 2013 as well as the 2010 Metro Bowl.

Ryan Grandell got the Falcons on the scoreboard first with a pair of field goals (32 and 22 yards).

By halftime, the Spartans took over the lead as Alex Lavric snuck into the end zone for a one yard quarterback sneak and Omar Nagui crept into the end zone for a major.  At that point the Spartans enjoyed a 14-6 lead over the Falcons.

The Spartans would extend their lead in the third quarter as Lavric connected with Devin Condlin for 29 yard touchdown reception.

The Falcons responded as Jake Puskas dashed into the end zone for a three yard major.

However, the Spartans would strike again with two consecutive scores as Lavric connected with Cole Jamieson for a 69 yard major and Joey Houghton for a 32 yard touchdown.
