On Friday Sept 5th, St Roch Ravens hosted its fourth annual FNL at Ching Park in Brampton.
The junior Ravens got things going in the 6:00pm game with a 14-7 win over a gritty Nelson Lords team.
In the senior matchup at 8:00pm in front of a sold out crowd, the CFC #26 Ravens spread the ball around with six different players scoring touchdowns as the squad defeated the Bill Crothers Colts 67-20.
Jamal Nkrumah has two punt return touchdowns from 92 and 87 yards and Malcolm Miller, Neil Harris and Diondre Taylor combined to rush for over 350 yards and four touchdowns .
Kyle Gouveia connected on touchdowns to Quincy Belanger, Nick Adeyeye and Nathan Walker on touchdown passes and Andre Lewin booted two field goals.
The Ravens defense caused four turnovers and capitalized on each turning them into points.
The atmosphere of the stadium was electric and it is always a fun way to start off the school year with such a successful event that brings the community together. St Roch welcomes St Edmund Campion this Friday at noon to begin the regular season.
