RECAP: Rourke & Creelman magical for CFC#42 Titans

Under Friday Night Lights, it was the Nathan Rourke and Matthew Creelman show.

Rourke and Creelman create some offensive magic on the field as they connected for three majors as CFC#42 Holy Trinity Titans cruised to a 35-8 victory over the Nelson Lords in opening week action in Halton Tier 1 Division (HSSAA).

In the first half, the Titans got on the scoreboard first as Rourke found Creelman for a 12 yard touchdown pass. Rourke himself got into the scoring act as he ran into the end zone for a 4 yard major to extend the Titans lead to 14-0 in the second quarter.

Late in the quarter, Creelman scored on a 10 yard pass from Rourke.  However, the Lords would get on the scoreboard as Sam Lewis converted a kickoff return for a touchdown. Before the half was over, the Titans would once again increase their lead as Jason Uleryk-Carvalho rushed for a three yard major.

The Titans would put this game out of reach in the third quarter as Rourke and Creelman lit it up again – this time a 50 yard touchdown pass.

This game marked a new era for the Lords as it was Jeff Brock’s first game at the helm after longtime head coach Bob Stacey retired.
