RECAP (RSEQ Juv 1 -Week 4): CFC#4 Cactus edge CFC#13 Wolves, Muganda powers CFC#23 Blizzard

Under Friday Night Lights at College Notre-Dame, hosts CFC#4 Cactus pulled out a 17-16 win over CFC#13 Cure-Antoine-Labelle Wolves in RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 action.

Theodore Seabom rushed for 146 yards on 28 carries for the Cactus. Emmanuel Garnier scored a touchdown and had 110 rushing yards on 21 carries.  Mitchell Parr had a rushing major while Antoine Couture added a field goal and two PAT’s.

Antoine Audet-Michaud was a beast on defence as he recorded five sacks.  Andriy Nikulich led in tackles with five solo and four assisted.  Omar Jamal caught an interception while Myles Lussier and Pierre Olivier Andrieux recorded a sack.  Lussier also had three tackles for a loss.

As for the Wolves, Ray-Jay Alcena tallied a major and racked up 127 yards on six receptions.  Guillaume Randers added a score and had 46 yards on three receptions. Alexandre El-Dib was successful on two point extra attempts.

Daryl Jean-Charles recorded three sacks as well as 10 solo and four assisted tackles. Marvin Joseph chipped in with seven solo and two assisted tackles in the loss.  Khennyssou- Nahor Louis Jeune caught am interception while Noah Turrin had two tackles for a loss.

CFC#11 SEMINAIRE SAINT FRANCOIS BLIZZARD 26, CFC#28 SAINT JEAN EUDES CONDORS 8:

At Saint-Jean Eudes on Saturday afternoon, Kalenga Muganda scored two touchdowns and rushed for 223 yards as visiting CFC#11 Seminaire Saint Francois Blizzard defeated CFC#28 Saint Jean Eudes Condors.

Antoine Dufour tallied a major and had 27 yards on two receptions.  Samuel Martineau added a field goal and three PAT’s for the Blizzard.

Charles Dion-Buteau amassed eight solo and three assisted tackles in the win.  Samuel Gagne racked up seven solo and two assisted tackles while Felix Hamel recorded two sacks.  Additionally, Jeremy Metivier and Etienne Chene-Cote each had a sack.

For the Condors, Alexandre Beliveau had the only touchdown of the game for the team and rushed for 91 yards on 16 carries.  Nicolas Bedard had 66 yards on three receptions in the loss.

CFC#39 TRIOLET HARFANGS 27, JACQUES ROUSSEAU SPHINX 22:

Under Friday Night Lights at Jacques Rousseau, Felix Lussier Roy scored two touchdowns and rushed for 238 yards on 21 carries as #CFC39 Triolet Harfangs got past Jacques Rousseau Sphinx 27-22.

Xavier De Champlain added a score in the win.  Benjamin Rheaume racked up 57 yards on three receptions.

Pivot Thomas Bolduc completed 14 passes in 26 attempts for 186 yards and two touchdowns (one passing and one receiving). Julien Roy was successful on all three conversion attempts.

Xavier Ouellet recorded a sack as well as registered nine solo and three solo tackles on defence.  He also had two tackles for a loss.  Ageric Amerin added an assisted and nine solo tackles.  Felix Petit chipped in with an assisted and seven solo tackles for the Harfangs.  Thomas Poirier-Steben caught an interception while Roy and Alexandre Bellot each recorded a sack.

As for the Sphinx, Shayen Boisvert tallied two majors.

Pivot Guillaume Renaud-Dumoulin completed 13 passes in 28 attempts for 225 passing yards, rushed for 112 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns (one passing, one receiving).

Simon Dionne amassed 133 yards on seven receptions in the loss.

Jonathan Desbois registered five solo and three assisted tackles.  He added a field goal and a PAT for the Sphinx.

#CFC44 ACADEMIE SAINT LOUIS ARSENAL 27, ROGER COMTOIS PATRIOTS 0:

On Saturday afternoon at Academie Saint Louis, Ethan Bedard tallied a major and had 55 yards on four receptions as host CFC#44 Arsenal earned a 27-0 over Roger Comtois Patriots.

Anthony Beaule scored on a 16 yard reception while Karl Moughabghab added a score. Louis MacDonald was successful on three point extra attempts.

On defence, Nicolas Chevrette recorded a sack as well as five solo and six assisted tackles as well as three tackles for a loss for the Arsenal.  Francis Bouchard recorded two sacks, caught three interceptions as well as four solo and three assisted tackles. Jakob Bedard recorded two sacks and two tackles for a loss.  Beaule and Thomas Khuong each had three tackles for a loss.  Nathan Desbiens caught an interception while Mark Oliver Jobin, Beaule, Khoung, and Charles-Albert Beaudet each recorded a sack.

Philippe Simard amassed 45 yards on three receptions for the Patriots.  Yannick Robitaille and Marc-Olivier Paul-Gros-Louis recorded a sack.

COLLEGE JEAN EUDES EAGLES 26, ACADEMIE LES ESTACADES 6:

At CEPSUM on Saturday night, Stephenne Renaud scored three touchdowns and rushed for 130 yards on nine carries as the College Jean Eudes Eagles cruised to a 26-6 win over Academie Les Estacades.

Charles Olivier Lavigne added a rushing major for the Eagles.

Lambert Harvey led the Eagles defence with an assisted and seven solo tackles.  Sifax Kaced caught an interception while Felix Boucher and Jacques Bachour each recorded a sack.  Bachour also had four tackles for a loss.

As for Les Estacades, Gabriel Mailhot tallied the lone major.  Jordan Falardeau added 10 solo and two assisted tackles as well as two for a loss. Felix SImoneau recorded a sack.
