Cure-Antoine-Labelle Wolves hosted the Roger-Comtois Patriots to open the RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 season. To mark the occasion, the Presidentr of Laval’s Scholar Commission, Louise Lortie, came to the season’s opening kickoff for the defending league champions. The Wolves won 38-7.
Defensively, the Wovles limitéd the Patriot’s offensive chances, thanks to the brilliance of defensive back Khennysou Louis-Jeune (five tackles, two interceptions) and linebacker Olivier Grenier (six tackles, three tackles for a loss, one interception),
On the offensive side, Receiver Guillaume Ranger (140 yards) connected with quarterback Samuel Cloutier for three touchdown passes. Running back Marc-Arthur Jérôme also scored two majors, including a 72 yard run. Alexander Roger also had some spectacular tackles.
The Wolves next game is Saturday September 5th at 1:30pm at Univsersite de Montreal’s CEPSUM where the team wlll face College Jean-Eudes Eagles.
