Receiver Sanchez Deschamps saves the best for last

The final game of his Canadian university career was probably his finest in a Concordia Stinger uniform.

Wide receiver Sanchez Deschamps caught 11 passes for 209 yards in a 32-19 loss to the No. 2-ranked Laval Rouge et Or at Concordia Stadium in Montreal on Saturday afternoon.
Deschamps’ strong performance accounted for more than half the Concordia offence in the game. The Stingers rolled up 18 first downs and 372 yards on the attack.
He finishes the season with the top receiving stats on the team. He had 29 catches for 477 yards in eight games.
The fifth-year senior from Mississauga, Ont. completes his career with 107 receptions for 1598 yards and six touchdowns in 41 games.
Concordia quarterback Reid Quest had one of his best outings of the season. He completed 28 of 43 passes for 361 yards. He threw one touchdown and no interceptions. On the year, he completed 169 of 290 passes for 2121 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Scoring for the Stingers were running back Mike Donnelly on a two-yard run in the second quarter and slotback Michael Harrington on a 26-yard reception in the fourth quarter. Kicker Keegan Treloar rounded out the scoring with two field goals (34 and 38 yards) and a convert.
The Rouge et Or clinch first place in the RSEQ with their victory today. They accumulated 27 first downs and 450 yards of offence.
Running back Pascal Lochard was the star for Laval. He carried the ball 20 times for 161 yards and a touchdown.
Running back Guillaume Rioux also scored on an eight-yard run. Receiver Mathew Norzil caught a 46-yard pass for a major. A safety and three Boris Bede field goals wrap up the Laval scoring.
Defensively, Concordia linebacker Max Caron was the top tackler in the game with 9.5.
