Calgary offensive lineman joins CWUAA team’s 2016 class.

Daniel Townsend will stay home to begin his CIS career.

Recently, the 6’5, 270 pound offensive lineman has signed with the Calgary Dinos.  Townsend will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

Ultimately, he felt comfortable and familiar with the Dinos, which prompted him to make the decision to commit to the team.

“I committed to Calgary because I was at home with the coaches who were good to me and I knew a lot of players already at University of Calgary,” commented Townsend of his commitment.

Townsend, who is a native of England but moved to Canada at the age of one, comes to the Dinos after completing his career with Notre Dame Pride of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA).  Furthermore, the offensive lineman played for the Hilltoppers of the Calgary Area Midget Football Association (CAMFA).
