Recruit swayed by Dinos winning culture

Running back/slotback newest recruit to join CWUAA team’s 2015 class.

Jeshrun Antwi –Boasiako wanted to stay close to home while pursuing his gridiron and academic pursuits at the next level.

As a result, the 6’0, 190 pound running back/slotback has committed to the Calgary Dinos.Β  Antwi-Boasiako will join the team for the 2014 CWUAA season.

β€œI committed to the University of Calgary Dinos because I will be staying close to family and it has the program I want to get into for post-secondary education,” explained Antwi-Boasiako.Β  β€œCoach [Matt] Berry was very good during the recruitment process and they made it clear how bad they wanted me to be a Dino.”

β€œThe team has great atmosphere around the locker room and I hope to contribute to the winning culture at University of Calgary.”

Antwi-Boasiako was born in Ghana but moved to Calgary when he was 12 years old.Β  Recently, he completed a stint with Bishop McNally/Father Lacombe Laserwolves of the Calgary Senior High Schools Athletic Association (CSHSAA). This past season, he rushed for 925 yards on 50 carries.Β  Additionally, he racked up 299 yards on 13 receptions and scored 13 touchdowns.

Among the honours the offensive standout has received include Laserwolves Co-Offensive MVP as well as two consecutive Calgary Division 2 All-Star selections.
