Montreal receiver joins CWUAA team’s 2016 class.

Nadim Awad will be continuing his gridiron career in Alberta.

The 6’4, 180 pound receiver from Montreal, Quebec has committed to the University of Alberta Golden Bears.  Awad will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

Overall, the offensive standout found the perfect combination when it came to academics and football at the Edmonton school.

“I committed to Alberta simply because I felt like it was the best place for me,” elaborated Awad.  “Being an addition to the team, the players and coaches made me really feel like I was at home.”

“Academic wise their education system with the players will help me grow not only academically but also as a person. The program has a lot of potential and I am truly happy to be part of something great.”

Among the teams Awad has played for during his career include Harry Ainlay Titans of the Metro Edmonton High School Athletic Association (MEHSAA) and Edmonton Chargers.
