CEGEP defensive back recently joins RSEQ team’s 2014 class.
Daves Dufresne will be part of the Red Resurgence.
Recently, the 5ā7, 177 pound defensive back (safety/halfback) from Montreal, Quebec committed to the McGill Redman.Ā He will join the team for the 2014 RSEQ season.
āI decided to commit to the McGill Redmen because they have one of the best academic programs and I know it’s a good opportunity for me,ā explained Dufresne of his decision.Ā āI also like their new Defensive Coordinator (Ron Hilaire) and his scheme, and I have a lot of friends who will play there also.ā
āI am excited, I canāt wait to put in work with the team and start competing for the next level.ā
Dufresne comes to the Redmen after completing a stint with CEGEP Division 1 team, Montmorency Nomades.Ā This past season with the Nomades, Dufresne registered 51 tackles (41 solo, 20 assisted, four for a loss), caught two interceptions, had two fumble recoveries and also scored a defensive touchdown in 13 games.
Previous to the Nomades, Dufresne suited up for the Sun Youth Hornets.
