Red River Cup: Winnipeg East wins gold medal over West – Nova Scotia takes the bronze


The week long under-16 tournament known as the Red River Cup concluded on Saturday with a bronze-meal round robin tourney and a gold medal game. In the bronze-medal tournament team Nova Scotia came out on top. The gold medal game featuring Winnipeg East and Winnipeg West saw the team from the east winning 28 to 21.

Final standings:
Gold – Winnipeg East, Silver – Winnipeg West, Bronze – Nova Scotia. 4th – Thunder Bay and 5th Westman.

Bronze medal MVPs: Caleb White (Tbay) Keegan Herperger (Westman) and David Nisbet (scotia)

The U16 Red River Cup is a week long tournament held in Manitoba that showcases elite talent in 5 different regions of Manitoba and Ontario (Westman, Winnipeg West, Winnipeg East and Thunder Bay) as well as Nova Scotia.
