Regina Rams have ‘a really good chance of winning’

Rams add an out-of-province commit to the Class of 2020

Jadyn Young, a defensive back from Royal Imperial College of Canada, is heading to the prairies after signing with the University of Regina Rams.

β€œI chose to commit to Regina because they showed the most interest, and I loved the environment there and the school. Everything was all together,” Young says.

β€œI think this team also has a really good chance of winning and being a top contender for a while. The coaching staff is amazing. I got a chance to meet with most of the coaches there on my official visit, and I feel like they are one of the smartest coaching groups in U Sports.”

Hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Young spent three seasons with St. Patrick Fighting Saints (SSSAA), and two with the RICC Knights. He was defensive MVP in grade 10 with the Saints. Standing at 5’11, 160lbs, he is interested in taking either kinesiology or health care.

β€œI didn’t get to play a lot for championship games for grade 11 and 12 because of playing at RICC,” Young says. β€œWe played a full schedule against top American teams and D1 athletes. We won a couple of games, which was pretty amazing playing against such high-end talent.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
