Regina quarterback joins CWUAA team’s 2015 class, continues family tradition

The third generation of the Richards family is joining the Regina Rams.

Recently, Ellis Richards signed with the Rams for the 2015 CWUAA season.  With his commitment, the 6’1, 200 pound quarterback from Regina becomes the third brother to wear the Rams jersey as older siblings Cohen and Addison have suited up for the team.

Additionally, this has dream realized for Richards as he’s envisioned becoming a future Ram since his childhood.

“I chose to sign with Regina because I had gone to the Rams football camp for years so I had worked with some of their coaches before and both my brothers Cohen and Addison Richards have both been on the Rams,” said the Regina pivot of his decision.  “I have also been going to games and following the team for a couple years now.”

Richards joins the Rams after completing his high school career with Sheldon Williams Spartans of the Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL).  During his time with the Spartans, the pivot amassed 1857 yards on 169 attempts, 15 passing touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns and only threw five interceptions.
