What is the CFC National Kicker Camp?

The CFC National Kicker Camp is an opportunity for kickers/punters from across the country to display their talent in front of the CFC Scouting Bureau. Every kicker/punter will be evaluated for the CFC10 Specialist Rankings, and those born in 2006/2007 will be considered for the 2023 CFC Prospect Game on TSN final rosters. Participants in the CFC National Kicker Camp will also compete in the combine portion of the CFC Tryout and Showcase held at the same location with results sent to our American partners Tracking Football for further evaluation.

*Please note this is the only pathway for kickers/punters to earn a spot on the CFC Prospect Game on TSN final rosters. *

Who is Hank Ilesic?

During his rookie season in 1977 while still attending high school in Edmonton at the tender age of seventeen, Hank became the youngest player in the history of professional football. Hank’s specialty on the field was punting for the Edmonton Elks during the glory years of ‘78 thru ‘82 winning five Grey Cup Championships.

Traded to Toronto in ‘83, Hank contributed to another Grey Cup for the Argonauts and he became the only player to win six consecutive championships. In ‘89 Hank played for the NFL San Diego Chargers, and in ‘90 for the Los Angeles Rams before returning to the Toronto Argonauts in ‘91 to win a 7th Grey Cup.

Hank joins legendary Lui Passaglia as the only two players in the history of professional football that spans a playing career in four consecutive decades. Hank has been selected on the CFL All-Canadian Team 8 times, and was inducted into the CFL Hall of Fame in 2018.
