Reunion awaits for Markham recruit at McGill (VIDEO)

Mason Posival will be moving to Quebec to extend his gridiron career.

Recently, the 5’10, 170 pound slotback from Markham, Ontario signed with the McGill Redmen. Posival will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.

Posival has played for the Markham Marauders of the York Region Athletic Association (YRAA).  This past season, the slotback amassed 586 receiving yards (averaging 26.6 yards per reception) and scored nine touchdowns in six games.

Additionally, he has suited up for the Markham Raiders of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). With his commitment, he hopes to reignite on field chemistry with a former OVFL teammate.

“I committed to McGill because it is a football program with a very promising future under new head coach Ronald Hilaire,” expressed Posival.  “It is located in the heart of the best city in Canada and is one of the top academic institutions in the world.”

“My OVFL QB Matt Prucha has also committed which is a very exciting opportunity.”
