Jarvis has played football every year since he was six years old with community team, South Delta Rams.

During his time with the Rams he has twice been named Best Offensive Lineman and Best Defensive Lineman. He has also won the award for Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year. This past year he was named Most Improved Player, after having switched positions from offensive lineman to tight end.

The highlight for Jarvis was scoring the first points for his team in the 2014 Bantam Provincial Championship.

“That sack was sweet,” adds the Rams standout, who had an acting role in the 2006 film Air Buddies.  “Also, my first touchdown catch as a tight end earlier in the season was pretty good too.”

“Our best highlight would be going undefeated and winning the provincial championship.”

This offseason, he plans to watch as much film and football as he can as well as working his quarterback and teammate Michael Calvert.

While his parents are his main influences in life, there has been one main supporter in his gridiron career.

“My head coach Brent Calvert and my teammates who have taught me so much on and off the field, and the rewards of hard work,” says Jarvis.

Not only has the Rams standout been successful on the gridiron but he is also the starting goaltender for his box lacrosse team He helped the team to a Provincial Championship this year.. He also made the under-15 Team B.C. rugby team that participated in the 2014 National Championships in Calgary.

Jarvis is set to graduate in 2018.  As for future plans, he would like the opportunity to play football close to home, ideally with UBC or NCAA Division 2’s Simon Fraser. Overall, he is excited to see how the recruitment process unfolds.

“I hope to continue improving in sports and in the classroom,” adds Jarvis.  “I have no real career plans at this time, maybe next year.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
