The undefeated (CFC ‘HM’) Richview Saints defeated Leaside (CFC ‘HM’) in the Toronto high school senior football final.
The saints came out on top 16 to 14. Richview never relinquished the lead after they scored on the opening drive of the game. A drive that started after recovering an onside kick.
The saints led at the half, 10 to 7, and at 3 quarter time 16 to 7. An early fourth quarter Leaside touchdown made the final minutes interesting and intense.
Richview now plays the winner of the York Region final (being played today between Huron Heights and King city) in the Metro Bowl semi-finals on Thursday. CFC cannot wait.
