Antoine began his gridiron journey with his high school team, Paul-Hubert Selects when he was 14 years old.

During his time there, the Quebec offensive lineman experienced the highlight of his career.

“The highlight was our perfect season and we won the final at home,” recalls Antoine, who was previously named the Selects Rookie of the Year.

This fall, Antoine will create a new gridiron chapter as he joins local CEGEP Division 3 team, Rimouski Pionniers for the next three seasons.

“I decided to commit there for many reasons,” explained Antoine of his decision.   “First, I like the idea to play for your city.”

“Second, I like the coaching staff and the team spirit is very good.  Third, I also chose this CEGEP for schools. Finally, the left tackle is leaving for CIS so the position was open for me.”

As for the CEGEP recruitment process, he was satisfied with the experience.

“After my last season, I got a lot of phone calls from different CEGEP’s – 10 to be exact,” reflected Antoine of the experience.  “It’s very exciting because you’re treated like a king.”

“Everybody wants you to play for them.”

After completing his high school season this past November, the offensive lineman decided to take a month off of training.  Once he resumed, Antoine decided to take his training up a notch.

“I took like a month off and I came back to training in the gym,” describes Antoine of his training regimen.  “The summer, I trained outside on the football field.”

“All this training happens four to five times a week.”

There are a few individuals who’ve provided encouragement and inspiration throughout his life and career.

“In my life, it’s my parents as they are there for me anytime and they support me in everything I do,” expresses the Quebec offensive lineman.  “In football, it’s my offensive line coach.”

“He is really good and he know is stuff.”

At this point, Antoine has not given any consideration as to where he will attend school beyond the CEGEP level.  However, one thing he does know is that he would like to pursue future studies in criminology.

Ultimately, Antoine has succeeded on and off the field because of one piece of advice he has taken to heart.

“My advice is hard work pays off in football or in life,” says Antoine.  “I always work hard in what I do.”
