The Carleton Ravens have nabbed a CFC TOP 100 CLASS 2014 recruit.

Jesse St. John is the newest Raven.  The 6’5, 220 pound athlete from Pickering, Ontario has committed to the team for the 2014 OUA season.

Recently, St. John played for US prep team, Kent Lions in Connecticut.  Previous to the Lions, the athlete has suited up for other teams including Pickering Dolphins of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (LOSSAA) as well as the Ajax-Pickering Dolphins of both the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and Ontario Minor Football League (OMFL).

Ravens Head Coach Steve Sumarah is thrilled to have a CFC TOP 100 player join the fold and is looking forward to seeing his development in years to come.

“I first watched Jesse two years ago with the Toronto Thunder and was impressed with his natural abilities,” commented Sumarah.  “The two years he has spent at Kent Prep school has improved his game even more.”

“He has a live arm and great feet.  We are excited to work with Jesse and spend the next five years seeing him grow as a quarterback.”

Ravens Offensive Coordinator JP Asselin said St. John will have an immediate impact on the unit.

“Jesse brings depth at a very important position,” assessed Asselin.  “His arm strength and athleticism will make us a better team.’’
