Rouge et Or quarterback suspended three games

Laval –Β  Laval Rouge et Or has imposed a three game suspension to quarterback Alexander Skinner following incidents that occurred in the summer of 2013 at a licensed establishment in QuΓ©bec .

On the eve of the new season, the team’s Board of Directors along with the coaching staff decided to penalize the student-athlete. Β His involvement in these incidents is contrary to the Ethics Code and the regulations of the Club; therefore, he merited a three-game suspension to be suffered early in the RSEQ season.

Alexander Skinner will sit out the exhibition game on August 30th between the Rouge et Or and the Calgary Dinos, as in the first two games of the 2014 season, first facing the Montreal Carabins at home on September 6th, and on the road against the Sherbrooke Vert & Or on September 13th. Skinner can still take part in the team’s training camp that begins this week.

Neither party will comment on the decision.
