McGill quarterback Jonathan Collin (History & Geography) is the offensive player of the week in RSEQ university football. Collin threw for 367 yards, a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another TD as the McGill Redmen cruised to a 48-17 road victory over Mt. Allison in Sackville, N.B., Saturday. The 6-foot-4, 218-pound native of Greenfield Park, Que., directed an offence that generated a single-game school record 738 yards of net offence. Collin completed 28 of 38 pass attempts and added 49 rushing yards on nine carries, helping the Redmen improve to 2-1 on the season.

Olivier Daoust-Pichette (Management), defensive lineman with the Carabins from UniversitΓ© de MontrΓ©al, is the defensive football player of the week in the RSEQ. In the 29-10 win against the Huskies from St. Maryβs University, the Carabinsβ defense limited the Huskiesβ offense to minus 24 yards and sacked their quarterback 11 times, two team records.
Daoust-Pichette had a strong showing collecting 6 tackles, 4 of them behind the line of scrimmage. He also amassed 1,5 quarterback sacks.

Mathieu Paquette (Political Science) kicker of the Gaiters from Bishopβs University wins the special team player of the week award in the RSEQ after a solid overall performance in a 22-21 win against the Vert & Or from UniversitΓ© de Sherbrooke. The fifth year kicker excelled on field goals successfully converting his 3 attempts (33, 44, 47 yards). His 47 yarder (personal and school records) with 37 seconds left in the game was the game winner for the Gaiters. He also maintained a 42,3 yards average on 7 punts.
