RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 Week 3: College Notre-Dame unstoppable

College Notre Dame continued their dominance this past week in RSEQ Juvenile Division 1 as the team trounced Jacques-Rousseau 60-0.

With this win, Notre-Dame is the only undefeated team in the division with a 3-0 record, which gives them sole possession of top spot in the standings.

Running back Joel Bouchard was on an offensive tear as he scored five touchdowns and racked up 196 rushing yards on 17 carries (average of 11.5 yards per carry).Β  Simeon Le Grand and Lancelot Rivard each ran into the end zone once for majors.

On defense, Mathieu Fraile-Tremblay and Julien LaGuehennec each had four tackles for Notre Dame while Nicolas Prince recorded a sack for the victors.

As for Jacques-Rousseau, Jahson LaFontant-Denis registered 5.5 tackles (five solo, one assisted) while Bobby Olszensky recorded a sack in a losing cause.

Jacques-Rousseau is still in search of their first win as they are basement dwellers in the division with a 0-3 record.

Here are the results from other action this past weekend in Juvenile Division 1:

LES ESTACADES 29, SEMINAIRE ST. FRANCOIS BLIZZARD 28:

In a tight battle, Les Estacades edged Seminaire St. Francois Blizzard 29-28 this past weekend.

Running back Chystopher Landry scored three touchdowns and rushed for 175 yards on 27 carries for the Blizzard.Β  Simon Pierre Latulippe also had rushed had a major.

Oliver Flamond led the Blizzard defense with 10 tackles (six solo, eight assisted) while Sean Cote and Eric Verreault each recorded a sack.

Both teams are in a six way logjam for second place with a 2-1 record.

ST.LOUIS ARSENAL 47, TRIOLET HARFANGS 13:

The Triolet Harfangs remain winless this season as the team lost to the St. Louis Arsenal 47-13.

Vincent Harvey led the way for the Arsenal with three touchdowns in addition to 108 yards on 5 catches (average of 21.6 yards per catch) and 23 rushing yards on three carries.Β  Philippe Lessard-Vezina added two majors and rushed for 105 yards on 12 carries.Β  Antoine Poire also added a touchdown for the Arsenal.

Quarterback Zachary Cloutier had 12 completions in 17 attempts for 195 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.

As for the Arsenal defense, Louis-Philippe Belanger registered six tackles (three solo, six assisted) and recorded a sack.Β  Charles-Alexandre Depatie and Gabriel Brisson each caught an interception for the winners.

With the win, the Arsenal is in a tie for second place in the division with a 2-1 record.

SAINT-JEAN EUDES 17, ROGER-COMTOIS 6:

Gabriel Brault and Gabriel Lavoie each scored a touchdown to lead Saint-Jean Eudes to a 17-6 victory over Roger Comtois.

With the win, Saint Jean-Eudes are now 2-1 this season while Roger Comtois are still winless with a 0-3 record.

Christophe Tremblay-Harnois scored the lone tally for Roger Comtois.Β  Quarterback Jonathan Bradet had 17 completions in 39 attempts for 207 passing yards, one passing touchdown and two interceptions in a losing cause.

Alex Francoeur registered 6.5 tackles (four solo, five assisted) to lead Roger-Comtois’ defense.Β  Benjamin Boisvert also recorded a sack.

COLLEGE JEAN EUDES 24, CURE ANTOINE-LABELLE 15:

Dean Dalaroy scored a touchdown and rushed 119 yards on 25 carries to lead College Jean-Eudes to a 24-15 win over Cure Antoine-Labelle.

Both teams are in a six way tie for second place in the division with identical 2-1 records.

Mathieu Jean-Phylippe also tallied a major for Jean-Eudes.Β  Quarterback Zachary Quiviger had 23 completions in 36 attempts for 194 passing yards and one touchdown.

Gabriel Boucher lead the Jean-Eudes defense with nine tackles (four solo, 10 assisted). Vincent Morrisette and Adam Masmoudi each caught an interception in the win.

As for Cure Antoine-Labelle, Samuel Makwanda scored a touchdown and had 206 rushing yards on 27 carries.Β  Ryth-Jean Giraud also ran into the end zone for a major.

Kean Harelimana registered 17 tackles (14 solo, 6 assisted) to lead the Cure Antoine-Labelle defensive unit.Β  Maro-Daley Casseus recorded two sacks while Elias Dagher and Axel Yanibanda each had a sack.
