Football is about character and Ludovick Choquette sure has a lot of it.
As a team sport, football provides an opportunity to grow and develop while being surrounded by likeminded individuals. βIt helps you to have good friends and to be a better person in society,β Choquette said.
He knows a thing or two about the importance of having someone in your corner. Choquette said that he is inspired by his grandmother. βWhen I was looking down, she was there (to help) me look back up again,β he said.
With the job description in the title, the running back is all about running. βI like to run and score touchdowns,β he said. βYou need to be very athletic.β
Unwilling to settle, Choquette added that, βIβll work better than my opponent. I will practice my sprinting, my jukes and my explosivity.β (A juke is a term used to describe when one player evades an opponent through deception.)
If he sticks to his plan, Choquette has a chance to achieve his goals. He said he wants to be a great player and to increase his speed and juking.
After five years with La Milice de lβΓcole de la Magdeleine (RSEQ), he will be looking to join a cΓ©gep team. His top three schools are CollΓ¨ge AndrΓ©-Grasset, CΓ©gep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy.
In his six years of football, Choquette has collected his fair share of awards. He is a former MVP, a three-time offensive MVP and was rookie of the year in his fifth season.
With all the talk about Choquetteβs character, there is one thing in particular that really emphasizes it. He has internalized this motto: βWork hard in silence. Let your success make the noise.β
