As Head Coach, Football, you will have an important role to play in building upon Saint Mary’s University’s Huskies Football success. You will be responsible for continuing Saint Mary’s University’s rich football traditions while securing the respect, participation and collaboration of all constituents of the University – academia, students, staff alumni and the broader community.

Under the supervision of the Director, Athletics and Recreation, the Head Coach, Football, develops and coordinates the Interuniversity Men’s Football program in a manner designed to foster and enhance the positive moral, academic and athletic growth of student athletes. As the Head Coach, Football you will promote the football program in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the University and oversee the additional programs of Camp of Champions/Junior Huskies, youth programs and spring leagues. As Head Coach you are up to date with, and apply, current AUS/CIS rules and eligibility policies, supervise Assistant Coaches and volunteers, evaluate and maintain recruitment strategies to attract the best student athletes to the University, and monitor and authorize expenditures of the football budget. Further you are involved in the coordination of fundraising activities and create a following of loyal supporters and partners through community outreach and alumni relations who, in addition to promotional events such as Camp of Champions, may assist financially to the football program.

The successful candidate will possess an Undergraduate degree, have current knowledge of coaching techniques, methodologies and strategies, a minimum 5 years related experience including the implementation and monitoring of operational budgets, outstanding leadership capability, superb interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong positive relationships with internal and external constituents. Further, you demonstrate vision, inspire confidence, encourage participation and instill enthusiasm for institutional and personal professional goals.
