Saskatchewan secures first #CFC100 recruit (VIDEO)

Regina defensive end joins CWUAA team’s 2016 class.

The Saskatchewan Huskies have locked up a #CFC100 recruit.

Nicholas Dheilly has committed to the Huskies.  The 6’4, 220 pound defensive end from Regina, Saskatchewan will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

With this commitment, Dheilly becomes the first #CFC100 to opt for the Huskies.

Not only was the opportunity to play in front of the hometown crowd a lucrative offer, but the Huskies provided the right combination of things that Dheilly was looking for in his future CIS home.

“I chose University of Saskatchewan as a place to play as it felt like a very good fit on and off the field,” elaborated the Regina defensive end.  “The school is of top quality and the football program speaks for itself.”

“It’s a great honour to be a Huskie. As well the University of Saskatchewan allowed me to play close to home which was important to me as it’s always great to have family and friends along for this amazing opportunity. It was home away from for me.”
